Essentially Comfy and Funny was founded in late 2023 by Carmen Ralph Chiusolo Jr. — an abstract artist who believed wearable art should feel as good as it looks. What started as a personal creative outlet became a brand built on the idea that clothing can be both a canvas and a couch.
Every piece is rooted in Carmen's abstract art practice — bold shapes, unexpected color, and a sense of humor that refuses to take itself too seriously. Small batches, real materials, and a genuine obsession with comfort.

If you can't nap in it, we won't make it. Every fabric is tested by our very rigorous nap committee.

We collaborate with independent artists and print everything in small batches. Your jacket is a limited edition.

Life is weird. Clothes should acknowledge that. We put jokes in hem tags and doodles on everything.
